We design programmes for all ages. Family camps take children from age 6 with a parent; other routes set their own age range, which is stated on each programme page.
Every programme page says what the fee includes and what it leaves out. As a rule it covers accommodation, the meals listed in the itinerary, ground transfers, programme activities and the teaching and guide services its page lists. Travel insurance is not included on any programme: we ask every family to hold cover for medical treatment abroad, cancellation and belongings from the day you pay (see our insurance page). International flights, visa fees and optional excursions are listed separately where they apply — check the programme page or ask us before booking.
Group size varies by programme — smaller for hands-on art and craft routes, larger for city and campus tours. The exact cap for a route is on its programme page, or ask us and we will confirm it for the dates you want.
Every traveller gives us emergency contacts before departure, held encrypted in the order you want them called. If something happens on a trip, it is logged at once — time, what happened, how serious, who is handling it — and you are contacted through those emergency contacts. Travel insurance is not included and is not arranged by us: hold your own cover for medical treatment abroad, and carry the insurer's emergency number with you.
Tell your advisor about them when you enquire or when you sign. We pass allergies and dietary requirements to the accommodation and the caterers and arrange what we can; anything we cannot meet, we tell you before departure so you can decide. We cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
No visa fees or handling are included. Entry requirements depend on the passport and change without notice, so go by the destination's official source and your own government's. We will write any letter confirming the booking that an application needs — ask us.
Each departure has its own enrolment deadline, stated on the programme page. To enrol, use the button on the programme page: a departure marked Book now is booked online with the place held while you pay; one marked Apply is by application, where you tell us who would travel, we reply, the place is agreed in writing, and the full price is then paid in one payment, by bank transfer or PayNow. Booking early helps with flights and rooms. A departure that is not open yet takes an email address and we write the moment it opens.
The full price is paid in one payment after the written agreement, by bank transfer or PayNow; there is no deposit. Within 14 days of paying, and more than 60 days before departure, you can cancel for a full refund. After that the refund follows the days to departure, in the bands the cancellation policy sets out. If MagiTrip cancels a departure, you are refunded in full. Full text: cancellation policy.
If MagiTrip cancels or materially changes a departure — for safety concerns, natural events or travel advisories — you are refunded in full, and we write to every family with the options. Our team monitors destination advice in the months before departure. Travel insurance is not included, so we ask every family to hold cover that includes cancellation; see our cancellation policy and insurance page.
