About MagiTrip
From journey
To growth.
MagiTrip is a Singapore educational travel company. We design study journeys for children and teenagers, and for the families who travel with them.
What we do
Built around looking closely and making something.
MagiTrip is a Singapore educational travel company, a travel agent licensed by the Singapore Tourism Board. It designs three kinds of study journey: art and aesthetics camps for children and teenagers, family camps for a parent and child, and private departures for schools and groups. A family enrols by enquiry and a written agreement, then pays once, in full; there is no deposit, and travel insurance is not included or sold.
Every route is built around a place and what a child can learn there by looking closely and making something: a cave's murals and the pigments behind them, a porcelain town and its kilns, a city's museums and craft workshops. Sightseeing is not the point.
A family asks us about a route, and if it does not suit their child we say which one would. The place is agreed in writing before anything is paid.
How we work
Five things we hold to.
-
01
A place first.
Every route begins with a place and what can be learned there — Dunhuang's murals, Jingdezhen's kilns, Kyoto's museums and workshops — and the days are built around that, not around a list of sights.
-
02
Look closely, then make.
A museum or a studio is visited slowly, with time to look. Afterwards the children make something of their own: a mural study, a piece of porcelain, a page of notes that is theirs.
-
03
An honest answer.
When a family asks about a route, we say whether it suits their child, including when it does not. The place is agreed in writing before anything is paid, and the price is paid once, in full — there is no deposit.
-
04
A record, not a promise.
A guardian's written authority is on record before a booking is confirmed; every traveller's emergency contacts are held encrypted, in the order you want them called; and anything that happens on a trip is logged, with the person handling it. Group size is set per programme and stated on its page.
-
05
Written down afterwards.
We write about the journeys in the Journal — trip recaps and programme previews from the road — so the next family can read what a route was actually like before they ask.
