Enrolling, paying and getting ready
Six steps take you from your first question to the flight. Some departures are booked online in about ten minutes with the place held while you pay; others are by application, and we reply by email before you pay. Either way you pay once, in full.

How to enrol
Each step says what you do, what we do, and where it happens.
Ask us
- You
- Tell us the programme, the dates you have in mind and who would travel. WhatsApp, WeChat or the enquiry form all reach us.
- We
- Answer your questions, and if a route does not suit your child, say which one would.
Apply for a departure
- You
- Sign in with your email and a 6-digit code; there is no password. Choose the departure and name each traveller.
- We
- Receive your application and keep it under My trips, where you can follow or withdraw it. Applying costs nothing.
We reply by email
- You
- Read our reply. If it offers you a place, decide within 48 hours.
- We
- Read every application and answer by email. An offered place is held for you for 48 hours; if we cannot offer one, we tell you why.
Sign the agreement, then pay once
- You
- Sign the written agreement. Then pay the full price in one payment: by bank transfer or PayNow. For a transfer or PayNow, use your booking code as the reference.
- We
- Confirm your place and its price in the agreement. When your payment arrives we record it, and the receipt appears in your account.
Get ready
- You
- Add emergency contacts in your account. Check each passport, and any visa, at the official source. Tell your advisor about allergies and dietary needs, if you have not yet.
- We
- Send the route's pre-departure information: where to meet, the itinerary in detail, what to pack and how we keep in touch during the trip.
Travel
- You
- Meet the group where the pre-departure information says.
- We
- Run the journey. If we need to reach you, we use your emergency contacts in the order you set. Afterwards the trip moves to My trips, with its recaps.
- Departure full? Join its waitlist from the programme page. When a place opens we email you and hold it for 48 hours, and you carry on from step 4.
- Not open yet? Use Notify me on the programme page. You get one email when the departure is announced or opens, and nothing else.
- Enrolling a class or a group? A school or a group of families can have a departure of its own. Schools and groups →
What it costs, and how to pay
The price is the one on the programme page, and the written agreement states it. You pay it once, in full. There is no deposit and no balance.
What the price covers
Each programme page lists what the price includes and what it does not. If anything is unclear, ask us before you sign.
Travel insurance is not included, and MagiTrip does not sell it, so please arrange your own. Visa fees are not included either.
Two ways to pay
Pay once the agreement is signed. For a bank transfer or PayNow, put your booking code in the reference so we can match the payment to your booking.
Bank transfer
- Account name
- MAGITRIP PTE. LTD.
- Bank
- United Overseas Bank Limited (UOB)

PayNow
- UEN
- 202622688R
In your banking app, choose PayNow to a UEN. Before you confirm, check that the recipient is MagiTrip.
The money is paid to MAGITRIP PTE. LTD. (UEN 202622688R), which holds Singapore Tourism Board travel agent licence TA04101.
MagiTrip takes payment only into account 396-321-068-8 at United Overseas Bank Limited (UOB) and to PayNow UEN 202622688R. If anyone sends you different payment details, do not pay. Check with us first, on WhatsApp or by email.
A receipt for every payment
When your payment arrives, we record it against your booking. The receipt is in your account, to open, print or save as a PDF. If money is refunded later, the same receipt shows it.
How much comes back
| When you cancel | Refund |
|---|---|
| 60 days or more before departure | Full refund |
| 30 to 59 days before departure | 50% refund |
| 15 to 29 days before departure | 25% refund |
| Fewer than 15 days before departure | No refund |
Changed your mind soon after paying? Within 14 days of paying, and while departure is still 60 days or more away, you get a full refund. No reason needed.
Fewer than 15 days before departure there is no refund, but the place can be passed to another traveller once.
If MagiTrip cancels. If we cancel a departure or change it materially, you get a full refund.
How the money comes back. Tell your advisor, or ask to cancel from the booking in your account; you see the amount before you confirm. Two members of staff approve the refund, and it goes back the way you paid. How long your bank takes to show it is up to the bank.

What to do before departure
What you prepare, and what we send you.
Passports and visas
Check that each passport is valid for as long as the destination requires, and whether anyone needs a visa. Go by the official sources below. Visa fees are not included.
Official sources →Emergency contacts
Add at least one emergency contact for each traveller in your account, in the order we should call them. They are stored encrypted, and they are how we reach you during the trip.
Add emergency contacts →Allergies and dietary needs
Tell your advisor when you enquire or when you sign. We pass them to the accommodation and caterers and arrange what we can; anything we cannot meet, we tell you before departure. We cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment, so for a severe allergy, talk to us before you apply.
Talk to your advisor →Travel insurance
Not included, and MagiTrip does not sell it. Arrange cover for medical treatment abroad, cancellation and belongings from the day you pay, and keep the policy with the passports.
Insurance notice →From us: pre-departure information
Before departure we send the route's own details: where to meet, the itinerary in detail, what to pack, and how we keep in touch during the trip.
The code of conduct
Read it with your child: respect for people and places, staying with the group, and what happens if the code is broken. Phones and bedtimes follow each route's pre-departure information.
Read the code of conduct →
What to take
The basics for any route. The pre-departure information adds what a destination needs.
Documents
- Passport, valid for as long as the destination requires
- Visa or electronic travel authorisation, where needed
- Travel insurance policy and the insurer's emergency number
- Flight itinerary and accommodation details, printed or saved
- A guardian's consent letter if a child travels without both parents (ask us in advance)
- An emergency contact card: parents, a second contact, the insurer
- A copy of any prescription
Packing
- Clothes for the season and one pair of good walking shoes
- Rain and sun protection
- Regular medication in hand luggage, in its original packaging
- A small first-aid pouch
- A refillable water bottle
- A plug adapter and charging cables
- A notebook and pens (the study routes use them)
- A little local cash and a card that works abroad
- A small daypack for each day
Three things that are always true
- Visa fees and handling are not included in any programme price.
- The destination's own immigration authority decides; check it for the passport each traveller holds, including a child's.
- A child travelling without both parents may need a consent letter at the border or the airline; ask us before departure.

Why we link instead of restating
Visa-free days, electronic authorisations and fees are changed by governments, sometimes at short notice. A page that restates them is right until the day it is not. The links above are the pages that change first.
The links were checked on the date at the foot of this page.
Questions parents ask
Enrolling
From your first question to a confirmed place, step by step.
How do I enrol?
A departure marked Book now is booked online: sign in with your email, name each traveller, accept the policies and pay while the place is held. A departure marked Apply goes by application: ask us about the programme and the departure → sign in with your email (a 6-digit code, no password), apply for the departure and name each traveller → we reply by email and hold an offered place for 48 hours → sign the written agreement → pay the full price in one payment.
Why do some departures ask for an application?
On those departures places are offered once we have read the application, not first come, first served. Applying costs nothing, and you can follow or withdraw your application under My trips.
How will I know if there is a place?
We reply by email. If we can offer a place, we hold it for 48 hours while you decide; if we cannot, the email says why. A family has one open application per departure.
What if a departure is full?
Join its waitlist. When a place opens we email you and hold it for 48 hours; from there you sign the agreement and pay, as for any place. Your place in the queue, and the way to leave it, is under My trips.
The departure I want is not open yet.
Use "Notify me" on the programme page: leave your email and tick the box, and you get one email when the departure is announced or opens — nothing else.
Price and payment
How to read a price, and how to pay it.
Is there a deposit?
No. Once the written agreement is signed, you pay the full price in one payment. There is no deposit and no balance.
How do I pay?
By bank transfer, or by PayNow to UEN 202622688R. Put your booking code in the reference. The account details are under Cost and payment on this page.
How do I know the money goes to MagiTrip?
MagiTrip takes payment only into its account at United Overseas Bank Limited (UOB) (account name MAGITRIP PTE. LTD., account number 396-321-068-8) and to PayNow UEN 202622688R. If anyone sends you other payment details, do not pay; check with us first.
Will I get a receipt?
Yes. When your payment arrives it is recorded against your booking, and the receipt is in your account to open, print or save as a PDF.
What does the price include?
Each programme page states what the price includes and what it does not; if anything is unclear, ask us before you sign. Travel insurance and visa fees are not included. Prices are quoted and settled in the currency shown (usually SGD), and we do not convert currencies.
What does "from" mean?
A "from" price is the lowest rate an ordinary single enrolment can obtain on a current public departure. Conditional rates such as sibling or group prices are never used as the headline. The programme page and the dates table read the same data.
What discounts are there?
Referral: book your first journey through a friend's invitation link and take SGD 100 off; the friend earns SGD 100 credit 7 days after your departure ends. Travelling together: when 3 confirmed travellers book the same departure as a group, every family in it is credited SGD 100 per traveller. The two do not combine. Any other offer is stated on the programme page.
How are parents charged on a family camp?
An accompanying adult pays the adult price shown for that departure on the programme page, separately from the child's price. Where no adult price is shown, ask your advisor before you apply. Ask about room types and single supplements before you sign.
Cancellation and insurance
Under the current cancellation policy (current version 3).
Can I change my mind after paying?
Yes. Within 14 days of paying, and while departure is still 60 days or more away, you get a full refund, no reason needed.
How much is refunded if I cancel later?
It depends on how far away departure is: 60 days or more before departure: full refund; 30 to 59 days before departure: 50% refund; 15 to 29 days before departure: 25% refund; fewer than 15 days before departure: no refund. Fewer than 15 days before departure the place may be transferred to another traveller once.
How do I cancel, and how does the money come back?
Tell your advisor, or ask to cancel from the booking in your account; you see the refundable amount before you confirm. Two members of staff approve the refund, and it goes back the way you paid. How long the bank takes to show it is up to the bank.
What if MagiTrip cancels?
If we cancel or materially change a departure, you are refunded in full.
Is insurance included?
No. The programme fee does not include travel insurance and MagiTrip does not sell it. We recommend every traveller holds cover for medical treatment abroad, cancellation and curtailment, and belongings from the day you pay.
Ages and who it suits
Each route sets its own.
How old does my child need to be?
The age range of every route is on its programme page and in the dates table. Family camps travel with a parent; the teen routes are for the child alone.
Can I come along?
On a family camp, yes. An accompanying adult travels at the adult price shown for that departure; where no adult price is shown, ask your advisor before you apply. Whether another route takes accompanying adults is stated on its page.
Not sure it fits?
Tell us your child's age and interests and we will tell you whether the route suits them, or which one does. "Ask about this route" on a programme page carries the programme's name with it.
How is a MagiTrip study camp different from a summer camp or a study tour?
Every route is built around a place and what a child can learn there by looking closely and making something: that place's museums, studios and craft workshops, with time set aside to try the thing rather than watch it. The place is agreed in writing before anything is paid, and the fee is paid once, in full; there is no deposit. Each route's page says who it is for and what is included.
Allergies, food and medication
Tell your advisor; we do what we can and say early what we cannot.
My child has allergies or dietary needs.
Tell your advisor when you enquire or when you sign. We pass allergies and dietary requirements to the accommodation and caterers and arrange what we can; anything we cannot meet, we tell you before departure so you can decide. We cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment, so for a severe allergy, talk to us before you apply.
My child takes regular medication.
It travels in hand luggage, in its original packaging, with a copy of the prescription. Tell your advisor before departure what it is and when it is taken, so it is noted; the pre-departure information says what to pack.
Safety and during the trip
What we collect, who can see it, and how we reach you; the detail is on the safety page.
What do you need from us before departure?
Emergency contacts for each traveller, which you add in your account; they are stored encrypted and are how we reach you during the trip. Allergies and dietary needs go to your advisor. A child's details can only be given by a guardian.
How will I hear from my child during the trip?
The arrangements for contact during the trip are set out in the pre-departure information. Your account shows the booking, the travellers and the payment status at any time.
What happens if something goes wrong?
If something happens on a MagiTrip trip, the incident is logged at once — time, what happened, how serious, who is handling it — and the emergency contacts you listed in your account are called in the order you set. The programme fee includes no insurance, so every family holds its own cover for medical treatment abroad.
Visas and documents
Official links only; we do not restate rules that change.
Are visas included?
No visa fees or handling are included. Entry requirements depend on the passport and change without notice; go by the destination's official source and your own government's.
How long must the passport be valid?
Go by the destination's official requirement. Once you apply, check every traveller's passport validity early, and that each name matches the passport exactly.
Account and privacy
No password: just your email.
How do I sign in?
With your email: enter it, receive a 6-digit code by email, type it in. There is no password to remember.
What is in my account?
Your bookings and what has been paid, a receipt for every payment, your children's details, emergency contacts, My trips (applications, waitlists, and departures that have travelled, with their recaps), and Invite a friend with your credit balance.
Where is my referral code?
Under Invite a friend once you are signed in. A friend's discount applies when they complete a first booking within 30 days of opening your link.
How is my information used?
The enquiry form records consent only when you tick the box; what an enrolment needs is used for that enrolment and that journey; a child's details are given only by a guardian. The privacy notice has the full account.
Last checked 19 Sep 2026.
