Shanghai-Hangzhou Innovation Camp

Experience the "Eastern Power" of China's AI

Camp Recap

This summer, a group of children chose a different kind of holiday —

eight days and seven nights across Shanghai and Hangzhou.
Not simply sightseeing, but a journey of discovery.
Not just attending lessons, but engaging in conversations —
with robots, satellites and the future.

From AI-powered robots to the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System,
from the campus of Shanghai Jiao Tong University to a cruise on West Lake,
they explored the frontiers of technology step by step
and experienced the pulse of innovation first-hand.

Now, follow in the children’s footsteps

and revisit their in-depth exploration of the future.

Opening Ceremony

We didn’t rush into the itinerary on our first day in Shanghai.

Instead, we kicked off the journey with a meaningful Opening Ceremony.

Our instructors introduced themselves one by one,

and fun ice-breaking activities helped the children get to know one another through laughter.

Closing Ceremony

On the final day, we didn’t simply say goodbye.

A thoughtfully planned Closing Ceremony brought our eight-day journey to a warm and meaningful close.

Together, the instructors and children looked back on every exciting “first” they experienced—building robots, riding in autonomous vehicles, and operating robotic arms.

Five children and their instructor hold boxed prizes on the closing ceremony stage
Four camp certificates from Greatway 770, SenseTime Magic Lab, EnjoyAI and a BeiDou base

Then came the moment the children had been looking forward to most—receiving their certificates and awards.

That’s the difference between a holiday and a study tour.

A holiday is about saying, “I’ve been there.”

A study tour is about saying, “I’ve experienced it, I’ve grown, and I’ll remember it.”

Parent Feedback

Real feedback from parents after the study tour:

A parents' chat screenshot in Chinese about wanting to enrol their own children in a camp
A parent's chat message thanking the team for a tightly organised study tour
A parent messages thanks for maximising every student's educative benefits on a smooth trip

I used to think a study tour was just another sightseeing trip in a different place.

But when I saw the excitement in my child’s eyes, I realised it was so much more.

This journey brought what they had learnt in the classroom to life, turning knowledge into experiences they could truly see, feel, and remember.

A parent writes that her daughter is very happy and hopes to join the UK trip too
A parent's post lists every site visited and calls the eight-day, seven-night trip great value

to internet technology, brain-computer interfaces and traditional culture.

Through every journey and hands-on experience, the children learnt, reflected and grew.
They gained knowledge of emerging technologies, strengthened their teamwork and sense of responsibility, connected with their cultural roots and ignited new dreams of innovation.

More importantly,
they began to see the world
through the eyes of the future.

Technology is not simply cold code and machines.
It can improve lives,
solve real-world problems
and help make the world a better place.
