Full Programme
Day by Day
Two weeks, two phases. Tokyo's velocity first — then Kyoto's depth.
Research labs, university visits, and innovation centers define the first seven days. Students start in Shinjuku, orientate over ramen, then spend the week inside the systems that make Japan run: the Toyota Kaikan robotics and manufacturing tour, a full day at the University of Tokyo (campus tour + researcher Q&A), and hands-on sessions at tech innovation hubs across the city.
- Day 1 — Arrival, hotel check-in, group orientation, first ramen dinner
- Day 2 — Shinjuku exploration, team bonding workshop
- Day 3 — Toyota Kaikan Museum: robotics lab, factory tour
- Day 4 — Innovation center visits, group journaling, evening Akihabara walk
- Day 5 — University of Tokyo: campus tour, student ambassador, professor Q&A
- Day 6 — Tokyo tech district deep-dive, startup panel
- Day 7 — Shinkansen day prep, final Tokyo evening, group reflection
The bullet train to Kyoto marks the turning point. Week two slows the pace on purpose. Fushimi Inari at dawn, a Zen temple morning, Osaka food tech startup visits — and on Day 13, every student stands up to present what they actually learned, to the group and to MagiTrip mentors. The final dinner closes the loop.
- Day 8 — Shinkansen to Kyoto, check-in, Gion evening walk
- Day 9 — Fushimi Inari sunrise hike, afternoon Zen temple visit
- Day 10 — Nishiki Market, traditional arts workshop (calligraphy or tea)
- Day 11 — Day trip to Osaka: food tech startup visits, Dotonbori
- Day 12 — Free exploration day with mentors on standby
- Day 13 — Final project presentations: students pitch what they learned
- Day 14 — Farewell dinner, departures, group photo send-off
